Boundary Brook Nature Park

(1991 OSCA Winner)

photo of daisiesThis Nature Park in East Oxford was created in 1990 from derelict allotments.  It is now a beautiful mosaic of habitats teeming with wildlife. It includes woodland, ponds, marsh, hazel coppice, demonstration wildlife garden and kitchen garden and many more.  It is used by school parties for the environmental sections of their curriculum, for people interested in acquiring skills in conservation and wildlife management and as a relaxing area to visit for people who live nearby.

Why not come and visit it? You can drop in when we are open for work parties, or better still come and help.  We also have four open days a year and arrange for leisure groups to come and be shown round, take part in projects or come and have a picnic.

Oxford Urban Wildlife Group holds regular work parties on a Sunday every fortnight at Boundary Brook Nature Park (see below). It is a very friendly group, tools are provided (training too), choose your task and pace, come for some or all of the time. Bring flask/drink, old clothes, wellies or suitable footwear, rainwear.
