Joining Oxford Urban Wildlife Group

Interested in the environment? Want to hear about local wildlife news in Oxford? Want to get involved in a small but successful local conservation charity?

As a member of Oxford Urban Wildlife Group you can:

  • take part in a wide range of activities to explore our local environment
  • receive a three-monthly newsletter containing local wildlife news, articles of local interest and listings of events run by Oxford conservation groups.
  • participate in worthwhile conservation work at Boundary Brook, getting fresh air and exercise in this "green-gym".These are a rewarding experience with fantastic benefits for local wildlife.
  • help with botanical surveys(experience not essential).
  • learn new skills either informally on site or by attending formal training courses.
  • join walks in Oxford's green places.
  • attend wildlife talks often with topics of local interest.
  • take part in surveys of areas of interest or perhaps under threat of development.
  • participate in many Oxford celebrations and events such as Wolvercote Apple Day, Elder Stubbs Allotment Festival and the ROHS annual event.
