Hazel catkinsCome and build protection for our coppiced hazel stools in the hazel coppices to ensure the regrowth is protected from the browsing of deer on site.  Building teepees with brash and moving wire guards to protect the coppiced trees in the new wildlife safe haven.

A great chance to come and enjoy helping out for the benefit of nature at Boundary Brook, learn about ecology and enjoy being physically outside in a peaceful inspiring wild place. There are other conservation tasks also available if you prefer – to weave dead hedges, remove invasive perennials from the grassland, planting out woodland flora.

As ever, guidance and training are on hand and you’re welcome to stay for as long or as short a time as you like.  All help is greatly appreciated. Bring a hot flask and snack.

PLEASE NOTE All events are subject to any covid guidance in place at the time. To help us plan tasks, please let us know if you are coming.  Email info@ouwg.org.uk
