Saturday 20: Oxfordshire Goes Wild 2010. OUWG stall at this free event for families at the Oxford University Museum of Natural History on Parks Road.

Thursday 8: How hedgehogs can save the world! Hugh Warwick, author of "A Prickly Affair", will explain why the humble hedgehog is the most important creature on the planet. He will explain why there is no other wild animal we can get as close to - we can get nose-to-nose with hedgehogs - and that this is the key to their importance. 7.30pm
Saturday 24: Snake’s-head Fritillary Survey in Osney Mead led by Tim King. Meet on the south side of Botley Road at SP 492063 by the traffic lights at the entrance to the Seacourt Park & Ride. 11am. Sunday 30: Late Spring Open Day 2-5pm Come to see the wild flowers, the tadpoles in the pond, and, if the weather is good, there may be butterflies. The group will be leading guided walks and selling native wild plants, seeds and cottage garden plants to attract wildlife to your garden this year as well as booklets about wildlife. Children under 14 to be accompanied by an adult. Wheelchair access, admission free.
JUNE
Saturday 12: Survey at Boundary Brook of Northern Extension. Check by ringing Oxford 820522 if weather looks poor and we’ll arrange another date. 11am. If you’d like to, bring a picnic to have afterwards.
Saturday 19: 20th Anniversary Party of Boundary Brook Nature Park. 2-5pm Summer punch and nibbles provided.
Sunday 27: Oxford Green Spaces Sponsored Walk. The nine mile circular walk around Oxford has been created by CPRE Oxford to highlight the threats to many of the city’s much-loved green spaces.10.00 am – 4.00 pm. The walk will stretch from North Oxford’s Trap Grounds, which achieved Town Green status in 2006, along the canal and Mill Stream to the Oxpens Meadow, then through green spaces eastwards up to the Warneford Meadow and along unsuspected green stretches back to the Trap Grounds.
At each site there will be children’s activities and information stalls.
The funds raised will go towards the work of the Friends of Warneford Meadow and the Friends of Oxpens Meadow who are fighting for Town Green status and to CPRE Oxford's Green Lungs Project.

BOUNDARY BROOK NATURE PARK.
Come and help us to manage the Nature Park. You can choose your task from a variety of jobs. A warm welcome guaranteed. You need not come for the whole time.
